Project Title: Development of Innovation Capacity at Sign System Kft.

Project Description:

Sign System Kft. operates in the advertising and visual communication market, focusing primarily on the design and production of illuminated advertising equipment. The company specializes in the production and design of advertising structures, particularly illuminated signs, custom-designed decorative elements, and fine metal structures. The company’s current processes include design, prototype production, CNC machining, assembly, and final quality control.

The innovations introduced to the company through the project are as follows:

• By acquiring the Pickback Industry 4.0 cloud-based manufacturing management system, the administration of value-creating processes will become faster, smoother, more reliable, and overall more efficient. The system supports the digitalization and automation of production processes, as well as real-time data collection and analysis. As a result, production efficiency will increase, downtime will be minimized, and energy costs will be optimized. The use of this system enables the company to respond immediately to changing market conditions while allowing management to gain real-time insight into operational processes.
• Innovation of the manufacturing process through equipment acquisition (1 sheet metal shear, 2 handheld laser welders, 1 panel saw, 1 MacBook): Production will become more cost-effective as certain steps of the current production process will be eliminated, resulting in faster manufacturing. Additionally, the new machines will lead to improved product quality, as the more precise technology ensures that the finished products require no further post-processing. This will free up capacity in both machine hours and human resources.

1. b) Marketing and/or sales innovation activities

To remain competitive in the market and effectively reach the right customer base, enhancing marketing activities is of great importance. In recent years, marketing has also experienced rapid development, with AI-based and web-based marketing tools now available, which require specialized knowledge. Therefore, it is essential for us to further develop our existing marketing activities to keep pace with competitors and gain a market advantage.

Newly introduced marketing tools include GOOGLE ADS and FACEBOOK ADS. By developing our marketing activities, we aim to strengthen our market presence and increase brand awareness. The new marketing strategy enables more targeted customer acquisition and more effective communication. The introduction of innovative marketing tools will significantly improve the way our services reach customers. These new marketing approaches enhance the customer experience and strengthen brand value.

The following innovation activities have been planned within the framework of this grant application:

• Manufacturing/production process innovation, the core of which is the acquisition of the Pickback business cloud service
• Marketing process innovation based on digitalized and automated marketing solutions
• Marketing innovation consultancy related to project preparation
• Marketing innovation consultancy related to project implementation
• Manufacturing/production innovation consultancy related to project preparation
• Manufacturing/production innovation consultancy related to project implementation
• Equipment acquisition related to manufacturing/production process innovation
• Employment of 2 new staff members related to manufacturing/production process innovation
• Employment of 1 new staff member (female innovator) related to marketing process innovation

The implementation of the project represents a significant development in the life of the company, as it enables Sign System Kft. to innovate technologically. With the completion of the project, the company’s competitiveness will increase considerably.

The project is expected to be completed by September 30, 2026.
